We will teach you how to kill bed bugs
What equipment would you use to heat an 1100 sq ft room to 131 degrees F?
I have an UNINSULATED 1100 square foot cabin that I need to rid of bed bugs, and the best suggestion was to kill them with heat, to 131 degrees F. I would prefer direct answers to the question, regarding the type of heating equipment to use rather than being told that is not the way to get rid of the bugs. THANKS!
Please, just answers to the specific question. The situation will be completely monitored by adults with experience.

They’re about 2-3mm long, round like a ladybird but not shiney, have a kind of brown pattern on them and are black. They have tiny little anteni and are realy easily crushed. They can fly too…
I’ve only found them on their own and they are not bedbugs, as they don’t fly, don’t smell and arent in the corners of my room/ matress.
Helps :O

weird bug in my room?

so i was laying in my bed just now watching television, and i seen something moving out of the corner of my eye. when i saw what it was i was horrified. it was some insect, about the length of my thumb. it was skinny and had a bunch of legs and two things on it’s head that looked like antlers sort of. i’m absolutly terrorfied of any insect, so i got my great uncle to kill it for me and he said he didn’t know what it was either. so basically, it was grey, long, skinny, several legs, but not a centepied. any ideas?

I have a bed bug problem
my bed is infested, but I don’t have the $ to replace it right now.
I have a portable heater, if I put it under my bed and leave it on for a couple of hours, do you think it will kill the bedbugs?
using DE doesn’t seem to be working
had an exterminator come 3 times already. Don’t even know if he’s even spraying the bed
google the name of that spray can’t find it

What kind of spider makes a cocoon like a butterfly or moth would?
about 4 months ago - 1 comment
i have been noticing this dark shape of an oval like thing in the curtain by our bed. i thought “leave it alone, it’s just a moth or butterfly. and i don’t want to hurt a baby catepillar.” but curiousity got me today and i checked it out closer. it had a hole at the top of it, maybe bottom a lil. then i seen legs… it didn’t move at first. i didn’t see wings or 6 skinny legs like a bug, i seen 8 hairy legs. they started to move. it was a big spider in it. so i take the whole thing to the bathroom, try to picture it but the picture don’t come out good as my eyes see it and then i put this electric bug zapper that looks like a tennis racket to it hit it till it’s flat then out secretes like reddish stuff like it’s a tic that sucked our blood. the zapper flattens the spider same as it opens up the web for viewing and it’s a very big spider. very fat too and very hairy. no clue what kind it is. then i like made sure it was dead first by spraying perfume at it so it has had it’s last dying breath and the red stuff turns orange then develops ball shapes then i think it’s eggs. i then spray water to it down the sink, the flat spider goes easy but the web don’t. and the orange eggs. what spider makes orange eggs? was it pregnant spider or just one guarding the eggs already out of it? i stop the water cuz it’s not budging so i use toilet paper. with that, they truly look like well-developed spider eggs. so i clean the whole area and drop toilet paper with it in toilet. i check the whole curtain over for other spiders. cuz i was thinking if there was that one with baby eggs, there may be another. not sure if it’s poisonous or not but it could easily bite me or my boyfriend in my sleep and it would hurt. i thought the red stuff was poison at first lol. but that was too big of a spider to make babies cuz there were many many eggs all together and it would be harder taking care of them for us to find and kill them before we get bit. him and i have been having sleep disturbances and that kinda spider so close to us in our sleep could have bitten us already and i sleep by the wall for him to get room. so, do you know what kind of spider would be like that?
ok. i don’t think it bitten us cuz i did some more looking.. may been a sac spider don’t say it’s poisionous or not but could give u muscle pain or joint pain and the bite is painless. it can bite people when they are asleep. but most pictures of it show it light colored and not fat. mine was dark brown colored and fat. it was more hairy too. i hope it wasn’t a brown widow but it’s different than that too, lol. so i guess that turns the question to ur experience with a spider like this and what u thought of it. cuz i ain’t deleting it, lol. unless u wanna smart talk me about bs. go ahead, i dare ya.
my fiance and i never saw a spider bite on us. but at least we dont’ have to get one like it has in those pictures of sac spider bites.
ok. i read some of one site not all, searched just the spider name one site told me the bite of a sac spider is painless like u don’t feel it. but the first site said: The spider in question may be the sac spider.
“These spiders hide in silken tubes or sacs that resemble
cocoons during the day and hunt at night. They will bite humans
even when unprovoked. These bites are rather painful, but generally
not life-threatening.” Thaks Pamela!

do u think it’s a sac spider the way i described it? the sac was white sorta like a tunnel or cocoon. it was pretty big to be in their. lol. it took up 1/3 of the room in their.

Would you call Childrens Services on your friend?
about 4 months ago - 19 comments
I have a friend that has bedbugs and won’t do anything to rid her house and her kids of em. I won’t go in her house, I stay outside and when her kids come out, they are bit up. It’s pathetic, and she won’t listen to me….shopping and *uckin is more important to her. Help me out!
Actually, Childrens Services took 4 of her 8 kids for lettin the kids get ate up by roaches. I have been friends with her for 20+ years and her place has always been trifling, I have cleaned up her spot before, I try to teach her, cuz she was raised with anything she wanted and was never taught to clean. I have been there for her but she’s not there for herself. She gets money and goes shopping and brags about what she has. I have always been a clean person and it annoys the hell out of me. The kids are scarred for life. She has a 15 month old who is riddled with marks and the 2 month old(gorgeous kids) who can’t fend for nothing is just laid there to be a meal.
Well, shes my friend because of time, I love her but damn, its crazy and Papeversomniferum
I love being hated on, what did you lose your kids that way? If she won’t listen then damnit, I’ll call on her ass, called on another friend, so what. It’s bout them kids!

You’d better rethink this. Any device that will heat a building to this temperature will likely catch it on fire.
That would solve your problem, but I don’t think that’s what you have in mind.
Here’s a website with lots of information:

It would take a couple of kerosene heaters of about 22,000 BTUs each should do the trick.

dude just buy electrical heaters…..I hear those bed bugs are taking over places like NYC….anyhow your gonna want to strip your beds and wash all linen and then secure your mattreses before replacing them….its a really sad epidemic…dont know the right answer but be sure to go to loews or home depot they should be able to better advise you…good luck

Stephen has the best answer. Electric space heaters would require that you bypass or modify the thermostat to allow them to get the room that hot.
you could go to the equipment rental place and get a couple industrial
heaters. or it would be a lot easier to close all the windows and shut off any sources of fire and put 2 or 3 bug bombs in the cabin. also you might
want to get new mattresses if there are beds in there. if you can seal off
all the places where air and heat can escape a couple of large
industrial heaters should get it that hot.
