Spoiler Alert!!! Questions about the movie, “The Box.”?
about 4 months ago - 2 comments
Okay, So this movie was not only super confusing but very strange! I had a hard time paying attention!
Okay so they were given a box, with a choice, push the button and get money, and a random person whom they dont know, will die.. Dont push it and he will be back to collect the money and the box.
In the movie Cameron Diaz ends up pushing the button, and they get the money, but by the end they are involved in some strange cosmic loop type thing,
Who are the employers , and the fellow employees? Were Aliens behind all this? Were they testing the human desire for money, and how actions directly lead to consequences, how they might not effect you but will effect those around you, like a ripple effect..
I get that much, but why was the Half-faced wife involved, why did she bring 3 portals for the sexy James Marsden to pick, and the white light he saw.. Was it heaven or was in going to the “spaceship” and what of the water, and after he fell onto his bed from being transported from the light.. He showed up at the Nasa place and walked out of a light.. It never explained why there was a light, and why he somehow appeared back at home.
And what about his co-worker, that killed his wife to save his daughter, I thought the man with half a face clearly stated, that whomever was going to die.. would be someone they didn’t know. But they knew eachother from work right?
And how is it that a simple wooden box could be in sync with James Marsdens gun trigger to kill his wife?
If they hadnt pushed the button at the first of the movie, would the other man that killed his wife for his daughter have killed his wife anyway, and then ended the cycle?
Sorry I know I may be over thinking this to an extreme but.. I just want answers! Lol the maker of this movie was the same as Donnie Darko..which I also struggled with.. but got help from a very wise person! lol
One more thing that is bugging me, how come they used a swimming pool? did they bring the children to send them to “the aliens” Because didnt they put his son in there and he woke up and couldnt see or hear? I am so confused!! Please someone explain to me so I dont think about it all night!!
Thank you!

How do I tell the difference between a spider bite and a bedbug bite?
about 4 months ago - 4 comments
I woke up two days ago itching terribly on my shoulder, then, hours later, on my inner thigh. Woke up the next morning to find very large (dime to nickel size) red, itchy bumps in those places. Three total. I stripped my bed and found no sign of bugs or eggs. I also swept the hardwood floors under my bed and just collected some dust, cat hair and a few dead roly polys (or however you spell it!). So, the only thing I can come up with is spider bites. However, there is no “black center” and I don’t see the tell-tale two fang marks. So, what could it be??

How do you know if you have a bedbug infestation?

I came home yesterday and threw my shoes in my room and they landed on my bed. Later I went in my room and there was a bed bug and a little hairy womr thing on the bed moving around. Since bed bugs generally only come out at night to feed I’m not sure if it came off my shoe or was in my bed already. Then around the time when I was ready to go to bed I began to itch and I found two more of them on my shirt. Well I decided to rip my whole damn apartment apart and I have yet to sleep.
My main point is I have yet to find any droppings, blood spots, or bed bugs since last night. I’ve looked everywhere and I’ve sprayed everything with bleach and pinesol. Does it sound as though I have an infestation problem or is it likely the bed bug hitched a ride on me from a friends house. I just returned home from a relatives house who went on a short business trip and stayed in a rather filthy hotel room, so I’m thinking that the bugs jumped from them to me. Whaddya Think?
I’ve found some skins from molting but as I’ve looked them up they seem to be from meal worms and moth larvae.
Well I’ve called an exterminator, and it’s varafied, I’ve got ‘em.
My down stairs neighbor has a much larger infestation than I and the exterminator says they move from unit to unit. So I probably got them from my neighbor seeing as they have yet to make it to my bed and are only on a chair in my front room. Looks like I’m moving this month.

My mom rents a duplex she lived there for 3 yrs-who pays for bedbug treatment her or the Landlord?

My mother has lived in this duplex for 3 years and half now, they where fine until a family moved in the upper level 6 months ago then my mother’s apartment started to have bed bugs all of a sudden. They have treated it washed the linen and the clothes put everything in plastic bags. Sealed and vacuumed the mattresses we even threw some of them away.
The bedbugs are under control but it is just to much for my mom to keep up with.
We called the landlord lady so she can get a professional company to do some treatment the lady said it is our fault and we need to pay for the expenses and call the company or else she will take us to court.
Does she have any right to do this? We can pay upto $500 but more than that my mother can not afford it.
Any Landlords out there? Tennants who had similar problems?
..and I’m the one who is going to pay that $500. does it cost more than that?

How do I get rid of Bedbug bites?
about 4 months ago - No comments
I do humanitarian aid work in a developing country and do not have easy access to many medicines. Are there any ways I can get rid of this stuff naturally. Right now my only medicinal options are anti-itch creams and Benadryl. I’ve had them for a week now, how long do they normally last? Any advice would be very welcomed.
-tony
*Note: My concern is not how to get rid of the bedbugs themselves, but the bites all over my body. I have pretty much gotten rid of all the critters, but don’t have a clue how to get rid of all the bites they left with me

my apartment refuses to spray these pests. i have called pest control and they say treatment will be around 800 dollars in total to get rid of them, but there is a chance they will just go to another apartment and come right back. i really don’t want to deal with that or waste my money. has anyone ever moved and not taken any with them? what did you do ?? procedure please
my previous apartment was heavily infested with roaches and i managed to not take them with me…….is it possible i can do it again?
and AGAIN, it pointless if they go to other units and come right back! The UNIT must be sprayed.
but i will pay for pest control at the new place……..i figure why pay for exterminating two places.

Is it possible to get bedbug bites when you don’t have a bed???

i’ve been waking up in the morning with bites all over – first it was a series of 5 – 10 VERY itchy bites on my inner arms. I chalked it up to maybe a spider found its way in my bed, and tried to forget about it. Lately I’ve been getting the same bites on my feet and toes. They are small, red/pale, itchy as hell. I am a very clean person, and I sleep on an air mattress! What could this be? Google searches don’t help too much. Could it be fleas? I dont have pets. Help!

I’m so worried, and my local pest management places don’t really seem all that knowledgeable, to be honest. So I figure there are some people out there who might know for sure.
I would appreciate as many opinions as possible. A professor I sent it to says it’s “close, but is probably an impostor…most likely an adult beetle”. What beetle looks like this?
